Whether it’s sequels such as Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen or new series such as Hell’s Paradise and Zom 100, 2023 has brought us a plethora of anime. This year has a lot to offer to anime enthusiasts across all genres.
Naturally, 2023 cannot fall behind as an incredible line-up is ready for us. While most of Winter 2024 has been confirmed with a release window, the following seasons have yet to confirm all their upcoming anime.
However, from what we can tell, 2024 is already a remarkable anime year. From highly anticipated sequels to new additions to the anime world, we bring you a list of the top 10 upcoming anime series to watch in 2024. We will keep updating this space every season whenever a new series gets confirmed, so stay tuned!
10. Sound! Euphonium 3
Scheduled for April 7, this upcoming anime series is based on a light novel by Takeda Ayano. The story centers around Oumane Kumiko, who abandoned music after a bad experience during the National Music Band Competition.
However, after starting high school and meeting new people, she finds herself pulling towards music once again. Season 3 will adapt Kumiko’s third year in high school, where her band will again focus on the nationals.
9. Black Butler: Public School Edition
Black Butler is an all-time classic mystery and supernatural series set in the Victorian era. It centers around Ciel Phantomhive, a young orphaned aristocrat, and his demon butler, Sebastian. The upcoming Black Butler 2024 anime will cover the Public School Arc, the seventh arc of the manga, running from chapters 67 to 85 in volumes 14-18.”
The arc takes place in the prestigious Weston College, which does not tolerate government interference. Ciel enrolls there to investigate the reason several students refuse to come home and cease all communication with their families. The series will debut on April 13.
8. Kimi ni Todoke Season 3

After more than a decade of no news, fans had lost all hope of getting a new season of this Shojo classic. However, Netflix recently confirmed a sequel with the original cast’s return. Season 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, but this upcoming anime will likely air in late 2024.
The story follows Kuronuma Sawako, feared in her school for her jet-black hair that covers her entire face, ultimately gaining the nickname “Sadako,” a character from a horror movie. Being an introvert, Sawako slowly begins to come out of her shell with the help of Kazehaya Shouta and her new friends.
7. Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3
Konosuba is returning with a third season in April 2024. The series made a massive anime comeback in the last year, releasing a full anime adaptation of the Megumin spin-off novel series, An Explosion on This Wonderful World.
It also confirmed that the main TV anime series would return for its highly anticipated third season. The first trailer teases all kinds of new chaos coming for Kazuma and his party.
6. Dandadan
The anime series will debut in October 2024, but the release window has yet to be revealed. The story follows Momo Ayase and her classmate Okarun. While Momo believes in ghosts, Okarun thinks aliens are real.
In order to prove themselves right, they make a bet, which soon creates a series of hilarious events. This story of young love centers around the chaotic events with ghosts, monsters, aliens, battles, and so on.
5. Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf
The Spice and the Wolf anime is getting a reboot in Spring 2024. Based on Isuna Hasekura’s Spice & Wolf, the new anime will tell the same story of Kraft Lawrence and his meeting with the wolf-diety Holo. Lawrence, a traveling merchant, finds Holo sleeping in his cart.
She bargains with the merchant to take her along on his travels in exchange for sharing her wisdom of “Holo the Wisewolf” and increasing his profits. Thus, Lawrence’s life turns upside down after taking along an ancient wolf.
4. Blue Lock: Episode Nagi
Blue Lock is one of the most popular Shonen series ever. Blue Lock: Episode Nagi is an upcoming anime movie that is all set to hit the Japanese theatres on April 19, 2024. The movie is based on the spin-off series following Seishirou Nagi and Reo Mikage exploring their games during the Blue Lock dispute.
The teaser depicts Nagi’s transformation from a lazy high school student to a promising football prodigy, ultimately leading to him enrolling in Ego’s Blue Lock program, a facility created to produce the best striker in the world.
3. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict
The final arc is being adapted in four parts. As the second part was concluded, the series announced part 3. Bleach TYBW Part 3 is titled “The Conflict” and is scheduled for 2024.
The sequel was announced with a minute-long teaser featuring the highly-anticipated fight between the main villain, Yhwach, and Squad Zero’s captain, Ichibe. The preview also shows Ichigo and his friends storming the Soul King’s palace, which promptly collapses.
2. My Hero Academia Season 7
My Hero Academia is returning with its seventh season on May 7, 2024. The new season will continue the next phase of the Final Act will follow Izuku Midoriya, the young heroes of Class 1-A, and the surviving heroes in a final battle against the villains to end the struggle once and for all.
Since the Paramount War began, Japan has been facing one tragedy after another with the fall of the safe society. This part of the story is still ongoing in the manga, so it’s uncertain where the anime will complete its run when it concludes next year.
1. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc
Demon Slayer’s fourth season will debut in April 2024. It will adapt the Hashira Training Arc, which is the last part of the story before the Final Arc begins. Since the arc is only a few chapters long, the season will adapt scenes from the light novel as well.
Season 4 will be the final season of Demon Slayer, after which the franchise will release trilogy movies for the Final Arc. The Hashira Training arc will follow Tanjiro and the others as they undergo hellish training to become stronger before the final battle with Muzan and the Upper Moons begins.
